Description:

We get a lot of conflicting messages about how we “should” show up to prevent sexual violence and support survivors, and these can be very challenging to navigate. Using her own experience writing the groundbreaking Healing Honestly, Alisa Zipursky will talk about the importance of community and connection in working to prevent violence and support survivors. Alisa will talk about how people show up in anti-sexual violence work authentically, how we need a variety of skills and abilities to do this work effectively, and she will share ideas around building community.  All are welcome to attend.
