DESCRIPTION:The NIH has moved up the timeline for the New NIH Public Access Policy. Starting July 1\, 2025\, all peer-reviewed manuscripts resulting from NIH funding must be made immediately available in PubMed Central — including early online versions like epub ahead of print. Not only does compliance promote transparency and access\, but it is also a legal requirement and mandatory for funding. Non-compliance can jeopardize current and future NIH awards\, including renewals.  This session will walk you through:   ·   What’s changing under the new policy  ·   What to expect after award receipt  ·   The writing and publishing process\, including information on open access publishing models and working with journals and publishers  ·   Depositing and reporting  We’ll also cover strategies for refining language for clarity and compliance for federal grant materials\, including the Biosketch\, Other Support\, RPPR\, and more.
