DESCRIPTION:**ZOOM ONLY**  This talk will cover basic terminology used in preparing grant proposals\, describe potential funding mechanisms that can support collaborative proposals\, and provide guidance for how both community and academic partners can meaningfully engage in the grant development and implementation process. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their own approaches to grant development and seek advice on building fulfilling partnerships.  Featuring: Gregory Phillips II\, PhD\, MS Program Director\, Master of Epidemiology Associate Professor of Medical Social Sciences Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine  This talk is part of Communicating the Science\, a special series offering new perspectives on best practices for sustaining and communicating scientific research in a rapidly-shifting landscape.  Gregory Phillip's research focuses on using complex epidemiological data and community-based evaluations to identify\, describe\, and address health disparities in marginalized minority populations.
