Stefano Allesina is the Chair of Ecology and Evolutiona and a Professor of Ecology and Evolution at the University of Chicago. He is a theoretical ecologist studying mostly ecological networks. He's interested in the dynamics of large ecological communities, models for network structure, and the response of ecological communities to extinctions. His laboratory develops mathematical, computational and statistical tools for the analysis of ecological systems.
Members of the NITMB community are invited to join us for Work-In-Progress meetings, an informal venue an informal venue for members of the NITMB to discuss ongoing and/or planned research.
