Overview: In the past few years, techniques and approaches have emerged to probe and characterize biomolecular condensates–clusters of biological molecules–found across the tree of life. In this workshop, we will discuss open questions in understanding condensate biology, mechanisms, and physical principles that are relevant to the underlying cell biology, with a focus on how new mathematical and modeling approaches will contribute to tackling such questions.
