SkAI Journal Clubs will dive into fascinating papers on AI and Astrophysics—a chance to spark discussions and exchange ideas. Researchers at all career stages are encouraged to join, especially early-career researchers that may benefit from the experience.
This Journal Club will feature talks by Lindsay House, Postdoctoral Preceptor at the SkAI Institute, and Benjamin Remy, Postdoctoral Associate at the SkAI Institute. Dr. House will be discussing the paper, Participatory science and machine learning applied to millions of sources in the Hobby–Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment. Dr. Remy's paper title is TBA.
Following Journal Club will be a seminar talk by Yiping Lu, Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University. Prof. Lu's talk will be titled, "Scaling Scientific Machine Learning at both Training and Inference." See abstract at the link to SkAI's events webpage.
