Facilitated by Elizabeth Nelson
The Black Professionals Network invites members to join a thoughtful discussion of On Rotation by Shirlene Obuobi, a novel that blends humor, heart, and the complexities of navigating identity, ambition, and relationships. Through the story of Ghanaian American medical student Angie Appiah—who is juggling demanding rotations, cultural expectations, and the search for belonging—the book explores the pressures many young professionals face as they strive to define success on their own terms.
Elizabeth Nelson will guide the conversation as we reflect on the book’s themes of self‑discovery, resilience, and the balancing act between personal and professional worlds. This session offers space to connect over shared experiences, examine the nuances of Angie’s journey, and consider how her story resonates within our own community.
Whether you’ve finished the book or are just beginning, all are welcome to join this engaging and insightful dialogue.
