SUMMARY:Millar Choir
UID:645240@northwestern.edu
TZID:America/Chicago
DESCRIPTION:Glories of the German Baroque Stephen Alltop\, conductor   The Millar Choir presents two outstanding works for voices and strings from the early German Baroque: Dieterich Buxtehude’s Membra Jesu nostri and Franz Tunder’s Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott. Buxtehude’s masterwork is comprised of seven short cantatas\, each focusing a different part of Christ’s body on the cross. Tunder’s setting of the hymn “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God” captures the majesty and power of this stalwart Lutheran music. \n\nMore Info: https://www.music.northwestern.edu/events/millar-choir\n\nRegister: https://ci.ovationtix.com/36542/performance/11841598?performanceId=11841598
