DESCRIPTION:Please join the English Department for a reading with Thomas Glave.   Thomas Glave is a Jamaican-American author\, LGBT rights activist\, and founder of the Jamaica Forum for Lesbians\, All-Sexuals\, and Gays (J-FLAG). He is the author of Whose Song? and Other Stories\, nominated by the American Library Association for “Best Gay/Lesbian Book of the Year\,” and The Torturer’s Wife. Glave is the recipient of the O. Henry Prize for fiction and a 2021 Fulbright Scholar. He has taught at the University of Virginia\, Brown University\, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a professor of English and Africana studies at Binghamton University\, State University of New York.
