One Book Podcast Episode 2: Surveillance (Through four audio pieces—three fictional, one real—Emily Burns, Charlie Heveran, and Akhil Kambhammettu explore the realities of life in a surveillance state.

Welcome back to One Book, One Northwestern: The Podcast! This year’s podcast episodes were created by students from two classes—a Medill class on podcasting,(taught by Anne Ford) and an English class on feminist dystopian fiction (taught by One Book faculty chair Helen Thompson).

Some of the pieces you’ll hear emerged from interviews the podcasting students did with the English students. Others came about when the English students wrote their own dystopias, and the podcasting students turned them into pieces for the ear. And others were created by the podcasting students all on their own.

Every week we will post a new and original podcast starting Monday January 7th - February 4th. Each episode will be up on iTunes and SoundCloud weekly. Below is a listing of the release dates.
