Packed with humor and fun, this Caldecott Winner celebrates the joy in the small moments of a child’s world.

Saturdays, February 25 and March 4 (following the 2 p.m. show)
After seeing the show, join us for this free 45-minute creative drama workshop with Northwestern teaching artists and cast members. Due to our limited space, registration is required https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/1145677

 Register your child and let us know of any special accommodations we may need to make for your child.

This workshop will allow children to stretch their legs as we explore “Snowy Day” activities. Activities will include imaginative problem-solving games, sensory exploration, and art-making. Come play! 

Workshops will take place immediately after the show in the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts; participants will be escorted to the workshop space.

*Note: This workshop is primarily intended for children ages 3-6, though older children are welcome.

Sensory Friendly Performance 
Sun., March 12, 2 p.m. 
This specialized performance facilitated by Seesaw Theatre in collaboration with Imagine U will provide a relaxed and safe environment for sensory-sensitive and differently-abled audience members. This performance is open to all, with an enhanced focus on theatrical accessibility. Modifications to the experience include:

A detailed social story will be sent to audience members the week of the show. This guide can help prepare your child for the experience of visiting the theatre and seeing The Snowy Day and Other stories by Ezra Jack Keats 
Select changes to light and sound cues to minimize sudden changes and high-volume effects.
A quiet space for audience members if they need a break from the performance at any time.
Theatre-teaching artists with a background in theatrical accessibility will be present.
Sensory kits (including headphones, sunglasses, fidget toys, etc.) will be available to audience members upon request.
All audience members for this performance will experience this sensory-friendly performance.
