Northwestern IT Gives Back: Purple Pantry Food Drive

Description:

All Northwestern IT staff are invited to the second annual food collection drive, which will support Northwestern’s Purple Pantry, an on-campus food pantry serving students facing food insecurity.

The food collection drive will be from April 28 to May 7. Non-perishable food donations can be placed in designated collection bins located in

  - All 1800 Sherman kitchens

  - Research Computing and Data Services office (Mudd Library, Suite 2200)

  - Teaching and Learning Technology office (University Library, 2East)

  - 2020 Ridge

All donations must be turned in by Wednesday, May 7, at noon.  

Donation Needed: 
• Unexpired, non-perishables include rice, canned beans, canned soups, vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, breakfast bars, and ramen noodles.  
• Non-food items include soap, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and paper grocery bags.

Cash donations and gift cards to Target or Walmart are also welcome. If you’d like to drop off cash or gift cards, please contact Kate Leech, coordinator of special events, at kathryn.leech@northwestern.edu.
