This asbestos awareness training course is intended to provide maintenance and custodial staff a basic understanding of asbestos, its hazards, and the ability to identify asbestos containing material (ACM) or presumed asbestos containing material (PACM) in the workplace. This includes the history of asbestos, the regulations on asbestos, the health effects of asbestos, locations of asbestos on campus, recognition of damaged or deteriorating asbestos, and proper response to a fiber release.
