IPR Distinguished Public Policy Lecture by Cecilia Rouse, Dean, Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs; and Lawrence and Shirley Katzman and Lewis and Anna Ernst Professor in the Economics of Education, Princeton University.
Cecilia Rouse became Dean of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs in September 2012. She is the founding director of the Princeton Education Research Section and a senior editor of The Future of Children, a policy journal published by the Wilson School and the Brookings Institution. Rouse served in the White House at the National Economic Council under former President Bill Clinton, and from 2009-11, she was a member of President Barack Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers. She is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a member of the National Academy of Education, and serves on the editorial board of the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy. She received her PhD in economics from Harvard University.
