In the aftermath of 4th anniversary of Syrian civil war, not only has the conflict resulted in the tremendous loss of lives and livelihoods for Syrians, it has also led to the creation of over four million forced migrants most of which sought refuge in neighboring countries. While issues of temporary protection on the basis of legal and humanitarian aid are still on the agenda, newer challenges emerge to address their prolonged displacement. This symposium will address the challenges associated with adoption of the long-sighted governance mechanisms to ensure refugees integration to the social and economic fabric as permanent settlers in their respective destinations with a particular focus on the Turkish case.
