Description:

Evaluation and Equity is a workshop which will combine presentation of best practices with robust discussion around incorporating equity into the design of evaluations as well as using evaluation to work for health equity. This workshop is meant to provide a starting point for conversation and to begin our thinking together.

This training will be co-presented by Sarah Welch, Director of Evaluation Research in Northwestern's Buehler Center for Health Policy and Economics (more info on this team below) and two community co-presenters, Deniene Willis, Founder of Trusty Cup Productions, and Lorenzo Webber, Proviso Partners for Health (PP4H) & Assistant Director of Youth Programming for Proviso Township.

This session is part of an evaluation training series with co-partnership with the Alliance for Research in Chicagoland Communities (ARCC) of the Center for Community Health at Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. Workshops will be offered monthly.

Sarah and her team at Buehler provide high quality, state of the art evaluation services to Northwestern faculty, staff, and community organizations working on public health research, policy, and programming efforts. The goal of this program is to support the evaluation of these efforts and promote the use of data for decision-making to strengthen these efforts and their ability to improve and protect health in Chicago and beyond.
