Students — Come meet Jen Bervin in her studio!
Refreshments and conversation will be served!
Jen is a winter quarter artist in residence at Northwestern, hosted by the Block Museum of Art as part of the Kaplan Humanities Institute's Artist in Residence program.
Her research-driven interdisciplinary works explore the intersection of traditional craft and cutting edge technology, weaving together art, writing, science, and life.
In addition to meeting Jen and hearing about her work, you can learn about your chance to participate in "Read with the Spine: Experiences & Experiments in Northwestern Libraries Collections," an interdisciplinary workshop (March 2-3) that will use the site of the library to explore fundamental questions about human experiences and the nature of books and libraries themselves. More details are here.
Jen Bervin's residency is hosted by the Block Museum of Art as part of the Kaplan Humanities Institute's Artist in Residence program. Additional program and teaching support is provided by the Department of Art Theory and Practice, the Center for the Writing Arts, and Northwestern Libraries.
