Princess Cyd
(Stephen Cone, 2017, USA, DCP, 96 min.)
As a child, Cyd lost her mother. Years later, while preparing to apply for college, she moves in with her aunt in Chicago for the summer. As the summer passes by, Cyd gets wrapped up in her aunt’s life, while exploring her own identity. Writer/director (and Northwestern faculty member) Cone lends a deeply personal and sensitive perspective to his entry in the coming of age drama genre.
