Kemi Fuentes-George is an Associate Professor in Political Science. His scholarship focuses on how people’s understanding of themselves and their place in the world shapes the politics around resource management. He has published several articles and chapters on this topic in journals like Global Environmental Politics, Politics in Perspective, and in volumes in Routledge Press. His book, Between Preservation and Exploitation focused on natural resource management and conservation in Jamaica, Mexico, and Egypt. Since joining Middlebury College in 2011, he has taught courses in introductory international politics, international environmental politics, gender and international relations, protest music, and environmental justice.
