Victoria Nuland is the Brady-Johnson Distinguished Practitioner in Grand Strategy at Yale University. From 2013 to 2017, she was the Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs. During that time, she was the Obama Administration’s main point person for the crisis in Ukraine, and also helped shape the Administration’s Russia policy. A career Foreign Service Officer, she also served as U.S. Ambassador to NATO (2005-2008) and Spokesperson of the State Department (2011-2013).
