Join us for a lively presentation by and discussion with Christa Charbonneau Kuntzelman about her doctoral research on the variation in political and non-political claims-making and grievance expression by refugees in Uganda. These actions range from refugees forming NGOs to help other refugees, to large-scale acts of protest or refugee occupation of government offices. Christa will discuss her preliminary research findings as well as her processes of designing and conducting research abroad.
Christa is a fourth-year PhD candidate in political science and has served as the graduate assistant at the Office of Fellowships for academic year 2018-19.
Lunch will be served!
