Featured Speakers:

+   Mark Albrecht is Director, Cargo Logistics for United Airlines. His responsibilities include oversight of United Cargo's costs and capital expenditures as well as management of United's ULD assets, road feeder service and transport of company material. Albrecht joined United Airlines in 1985 and has held management positions in Vendor Planning, Aircraft Scheduling, Onboard Schedule Planning and the Credit Union. Prior to his current position, Albrecht was United's Director of Cargo Operations Excellence. Albrecht received his BS from Elmhurst College in Illinois and his MBA from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University.

+   Jared Azcuy serves as the COO of Alliance Ground International, LLC. He has 19 years of experience in the transportation handling industry. As VP of Administration for Miami Aircraft Support, Azcuy oversaw all administrative, accounting and finance functions handled at its Miami headquarters. Following the MAS sale to WFS in 1999, Azcuy was retained by WFS to oversee the integration of both corporate offices. Since 2002, he served as VP of Phoenix Fuel Corporation and he helped found Cargo Force where he continues to manage all the leasing, purchasing, payables, receivables, payroll, benefits and contract administration for Cargo Force’s operations and locations.

+   Helen Kristensen is Managing Director, United Cargo Sales - Strategic Accounts for United Airlines. She is responsible for planning and directing the activities of the team of United Cargo's most experienced sales professionals who manage the organization's largest global accounts. Kristensen joined United Airlines in 1995 and held management positions in Passenger Sales, Airport Operations, Customer Service, Customer Satisfaction and United's Mileage Plus organization. She also served as a United Cargo Sales Strategic Partner Manager prior to her current role. Kristensen received a BA from University of Western Ontario, Canada and an MBA from York University Schulich School of Business, Toronto.

+   Hani Mahmassani, NUTC Director, and the William A. Patterson Distinguished Chair in Transportation at Northwestern University, will moderate the roundtable. He brings over 35 years of research, academic and professional experience in transportation systems analysis, network modeling and logistics systems, and currently serves on the International Advisory Board of the Panama Canal Authority. 

+   Shawn McWhorter joined Nippon Cargo Airlines in 2007 and is president of the Americas Region, working out of the Regional Headquarters office at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. He is responsible for all business activities including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Accounting, and Administration for North and South America. Prior to NCA, he worked in Minneapolis for Northwest Airlines as VP – Cargo Network Management and was responsible for managing $1B in cargo revenue. Originally from Atlanta, he holds an engineering degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
