Spanish Language Program Talks Fall 2020 Series
This talk will review current research in the field of bilingual phonology
looking at both second language and heritage speakers of Spanish. In this
review, I 1) reflect upon the field´s attempt to move away from comparative
bilinguals to monolinguals and 2) discuss how this research informs
instructors who wish to move beyond a monolingual norm in the language
classroom. This talk will be conducted in English.
