Join us and hear from NU Political Science alumni Dr. Amanda D’Urso and Dr. Matthew Nelsen about their recent experiences on the academic job market and navigating the transition from graduate student, post-doc, to faculty.
Dr. D’Urso (PhD'22) is a Guarini Dean’s Postdoctoral Fellow in Race and Ethnicity at Dartmouth College and will be joining Georgetown University’s Department of Government as the Provost’s Distinguished Faculty Fellow in the Fall of 2023.
Dr. Nelson (PhD '20) is now an assistant professor at University of Miami's Political Science Department whose book The Color of Civics: Civic Education for a Multiracial Democracy is forthcoming at Oxford University Press.
