Maylyn Martinez, MD, MSc, will discuss research on inpatient physical therapy referral optimization and disparities in hospital-associated disability and physical therapy referrals.

Dr. Martinez is a KL2 Scholar and Instructor of Medicine in the section of Hospital Medicine at the University of Chicago. She completed her medical training at Northwestern University, The Feinberg School of Medicine, a residency and chief resident year at The University of California, Irvine, and TL1 postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago. Her research focuses on inpatient physical therapy optimization to reduce hospital-associated disability.
