Please join the Comparative Politics Workshop as they host Nimah Mazaheri, associate professor of political science at Tufts University.
Nimah Mazaheri's research focuses on the political economy of energy, government-business relations, and environmental studies. He is the author of the books "Hydrocarbon Citizens: How Oil Transformed People and Politics in the Middle East" (Oxford University Press, 2022) and "Oil Booms and Business Busts: Why Resource Wealth Hurts Entrepreneurs in the Developing World" (Oxford University Press 2016). His research also appears in a variety of journals that include World Development, Comparative Politics, Global Environmental Politics, Political Research Quarterly, and Middle East Journal. He held postdoctoral fellowships at Princeton University's Princeton School of Public & International Affairs and Harvard University's Belfer Center for Public & International Affairs. He worked at the World Bank in Washington, DC before joining the faculty at Tufts University. He received a PhD from the University of Washington in 2011.
