This workshop will introduce you to the basics of satellite imagery and how we use it in GIS to explore questions of deforestation and climate change. Concepts covered include scale, resolution, and understanding the types of imagery and how they can be used. This workshop will draw on data collected from Planet Imagery and Google Earth Engine.
