With 67% of the global population now online, and a significant portion of internet traffic originating from mobile devices, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, the urgency for accessible health care solutions is evident. Dr. Moore, a Translational Science TL1 fellow at Vanderbilt University and a member of the Mobile Health for Global Health research group, will share her expertise on the development of mobile health applications. These tools are designed to improve disease tracking and provide health care providers with essential data management and diagnostic capabilities directly at the point of care. Dr. Moore's extensive research from developing innovative diagnostic tools for malaria in Zambia to her current work on mobile health tools for schistosomiasis control in Western Kenya demonstrates the significant potential of technology in healthcare in underserved regions and the role of digital innovation in addressing global health disparities.
