We are pleased to share Northwestern’s 10th annual All-Staff Golf Outing is back. All staff members are invited to attend the event.   

All-Staff Golf Outing 
Thursday, July 18, 2024 
Chick Evans Golf Course, 6145 Golf Road, Morton Grove, Illinois   
Tee times begin at 11 a.m.    
$30 walking/$48 riding per person (each confirmed participant will need to pay before the event) 

Registration
Register no later than Monday, July 1. Once registered, you will receive an Outlook invite so the event appears on your calendar. We will provide more information to registrants closer to the outing date. Please be aware all cancellations must be communicated to an event coordinator at least two weeks before the outing. Otherwise, attendees remain responsible for payment.

Please pay your entry fee before the event. Bill Artz, director of research and analysis in The Graduate School, is collecting and tracking payments.

Outing Details  
-This annual event is a grassroots effort to build community among Northwestern staff. Many thanks to the schools and units across campus—including Northwestern IT and NUSAC—that allow individuals to plan and promote the event.   

-Time off to attend the outing must be arranged with your manager in advance, just as you would any other time away from work.   

-Participants are responsible for their transportation and expenses.    

-The outing is a scramble format (see below). Organizers will try to match foursomes by overall skill levels. Anyone interested in playing with a friend should include their request at registration. Organizers will attempt to accommodate these requests within the overall commitment to balance the foursomes. If unable to accommodate a request, participants will be notified in advance.  

Outing Format  
This year’s event includes set tee times and a scramble format: 
 
-Tee Times—All foursomes will tee off on the first hole at an assigned time. Foursomes will be announced closer to the outing once the full pool of participants is established. 

-Scramble Format—The scramble format is designed to allow everyone an opportunity to play and encourages golfers of all levels to participate. To learn more about the scramble format, read this article.    

-Skill Level—You do not need to be a great golfer to attend; however, a baseline understanding of the game (rules and skills) is important.
