The Buffett Institute invites graduate students from all humanities and social sciences disciplines as well as other units at Northwestern University with an interest in the legal, normative and political infrastructures of global capitalism to join us for an informational lunch on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at noon in the Buffett Reading Room (720 University Place, Second Floor).
The lunch will be attended by three of the group’s faculty leaders: Karen Alter (Political Science), Bruce Carruthers (Sociology), and Cristina Lafont (Philosophy). The purpose of the meeting is to convene interested graduate students as part of the relaunch the Global Capitalism and Law Research Group, which is currently updating its research vision and planning new activities.
Please note that 720 University Place is not an ADA-accessible space. Increasing physical access to buildings and facilities is a goal of the University, but not all buildings and venues have been updated.
