For Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS)
NUCATS, an initiative of Northwestern University and its clinical affiliates (Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, Children’s Memorial Hospital, and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago), capitalizes on the strength of our shared resources. Our vision is to become a major research catalyzing center -- facilitating growth of translational and clinical research across the entire NU enterprise.
The Institute is comprised of a number of distinct but highly interactive centers that work together to transform how translational research is performed at Northwestern. These centers cover all aspects of biomedical research including clinical research, community engagement, education and career development, biomedical informatics, and innovation. NUCATS activities include regulatory support services, clinical trial coordination, formal educational offerings, regular seminars and conferences, community outreach, a research concierge function, and pilot programs to promote both cutting-edge research and the development of radical new technologies.
