The Alice Millar Chapel is the site of many university and community events throughout the year, including lectures, convocations, concerts, and other celebrations. University Chapel Services are held each Sunday of the academic calendar at 11:00 o'clock in the morning. Worship services are conducted in the ecumenical Christian tradition. The chapel community is open to all persons. The Office of the University Chaplain is available to work with groups and individuals of all religious traditions to foster a positive and healthy religious life at NU. Religious groups receive official university recognition through the Chaplain's office. The University Chaplain serves as advisor to the Northwestern University Council of Religions (NUCOR), which seeks to promote understanding and cooperation among the many religious traditions on the campus.
