Presentation/workshop will cover heterosexist and transphobic microaggressions, particularly in classroom and workplace settings. These include phrases such as "That's so gay!" to indicate something is undesirable and using incorrect gender pronouns when referring to transgender or gender noncomforming people. Reasearch shows the presence of psychological distress and physical health consequences to the recipients of microaggressions.
