Dr. Neal is a cardiovascular epidemiologist with specific content area expertise in high blood pressure and diabetes. He has played lead roles in multiple large-scale clinical trials and meta-analyses. He also has a longstanding interest in the environmental determinants of chronic disease and the potential for changes in the food supply to deliver large, cost-effective and equitable health gains. His food policy work seeks to change the way that food is manufactured, retailed, and consumed using business and policy levers.
