Dr. Neal is a cardiovascular epidemiologist with specific content area expertise in high blood pressure and diabetes. He has played lead roles in multiple large-scale clinical trials and meta-analyses. He also has a longstanding interest in the environmental determinants of chronic disease and the potential for changes in the food supply to deliver large, cost-effective and equitable health gains. His food policy work seeks to change the way that food is manufactured, retailed, and consumed using business and policy levers.

Dr. Patel is a general cardiologist with a research interest in clinical prevention strategies for chronic disease prevention and management, particularly in primary care settings. She has a program of both clinical research and increasingly, health systems research with current partnership projects in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar and Sri Lanka.
