The Department of Performance Studies will host Argentinean documentary theatre director Vivi Tellas for an artist talk on Wednesday, October 29th @ noon.
After the lecture, Ms. Tellas will lead a workshop on “family theater” where participants will explore everyday theatricality to develop short documentary performances. Vivi Tellas is the founder of Biodrama, a revolutionary project on staged biograhpies. Tellas' unique vision of documentary theater has led to a series of live archives with non-professional performers. Her latest piece, Las Personas (The Persons) features 22 employees from one of the most important municipal theatres in Buenos Aires.
