The Department of Performance Studies will host Argentinean documentary theatre director Vivi Tellas for an artist talk on Wednesday, October 29th @ noon.

After the lecture, Ms. Tellas will lead a workshop on “family theater” where participants will explore everyday theatricality to develop short documentary performances. Limited space is available for the workshop. If you are interested in participating please email by noon on 10/27.

Vivi Tellas is the founder of Biodrama, a revolutionary project on staged biograhpies. Tellas' unique vision of documentary theater has led to a series of live archives with non-professional performers. Her latest piece, Las Personas (The Persons) features 22 employees from one of the most important municipal theatres in Buenos Aires.

This event is co-sponsored by the Latin American and Caribbean Studies Program and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese.
