Join the International Studies Global Cafe for a discussion with Karl Friedhoff who will share how his prior experiences helped pave the way toward his career in international affairs.

BIO: Karl Friedhoff joined the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in 2015 as a fellow in Public Opinion and Foreign Policy. He is also a Korea Foundation-Mansfield Foundation U.S.-Korea Nexus Scholar, and a member of the Mansfield Foundation Trilateral Working Group. Mr. Friedhoff was previously based in Seoul where he was a program officer in the Public Opinion Studies Program at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies. His writing has appeared in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, among others, and he has been a frequent guest on both TV and radio to discuss South Korea’s politics, foreign policy, and international relations. Mr. Friedhoff earned his BA in political science at Wittenberg University and an MA in international commerce at Seoul National University.
