Robert Braun an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Political Science at Northwestern University. He combines archival work with geographical information systems to study civil society and intergroup relationships in times of social upheaval. His research has been published in the American Political Science Review, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Comparative Political Studies, Journal of Peace Research, Mobilization, International Journal of Comparative Sociology, European Sociological Review and International Sociology.
