Our guest will explore radio documentary in the podcasting era through a moderated discussion with the Associate Director of the MA Sound Arts and Industries program, Neil Verma.
As executive director and co-founder of the Third Coast International Audio Festival, Johanna Zorn has been committed to the development of contemporary audio culture for more than three decades. Previously she spent 30 years at WBEZ, Chicago, producing and directing a wide variety of programs. It was during her tenure as executive producer of the award-winning public affairs series Chicago Matters that Zorn began working with audio documentary-makers and set her sights on creating a Sundance for Radio. In 2009, she led efforts to transform Third Coast into an independent media arts organization.
