Title: Whatever Happened to Hybridity in Postcolonial Studies?
Vanessa Guignery is Professor of Contemporary English and Postcolonial Literature at the École Normale Supérieure in Lyon, a member of the Institut Universitaire de France, and a recent Harry Ransom Humanities Center Fellow. Her research focuses on literary genres and the poetics of voice and silence. This talk examines the forms and evolution of hybridity as a central concept in postcolonial literary and cultural studies.
