Kafka, Blanchot and the Silence of the Sirens

Presentation by Dr. Zakir Paul

Zakir Paul is working on a book manuscript about the reception of intelligence in French literature and thought, with a special focus on Bergson, Proust, and Valèry.  His articles and reviews have appeared in Anenäum, JML Critical Inquiry, Germanic Review, and L'esprit crèateur.  He translated and introduced Blanchot's Politcal Writing 1953-1993 (Fordham, 2010) and Ranci¡ere's Aisthesis:  Scenes from the Aesthetic Regime of Art (Verso, 2013)
