Global Café - Sonia Planson

The Global Café is excited to host Sonia Planson, a Ph.D. student with the Department of Sociology!

Sonia is a dual Ph.D. student at Northwestern and Sciences Po (France) with an interest in the sociology of immigration. She completed her master in sociology at Sciences Po, after writing a mixed methods thesis on the naturalization of elderly immigrants. She has also participated in a project on tracking in French upper secondary schools, as a research assistant. Sonia is now starting a comparative Ph.D. research project on minority students and cultural diversity in Paris and Chicago schools.
