This half-day symposium will bring together activists, advocates, and scholars to discuss what we learn from each other as we seek solutions to the challenges Latinx communities face today. The topics speakers will focus on include Latinxs, citizenship, and the 2020 census; immigration, border enforcement, and family separations; and the politics of colonial austerity and disaster recovery in Puerto Rico. The event is part of Northwestern’s observance of Latinx Heritage Month.
