The secret life of bumble bee queens: experimental insights into their unique biology
"My research group studies the behavior, physiology, and conservation of bumble bees. One area we are focusing on is the unique biology of the queen caste in bumble bees, including the special challenges queens face during the solitary phases of their life cycle, which are extremely under-studied. These studies shed light on the factors that influence queen nesting success and the underlying molecular processes that shape bumble bee population dynamics, including decline."
