NUTC's Sandhouse Rail Group presents:

“Vision Systems & Automation in Rail”

Senior Product Owner, Visual Analytics
Wi-Tronix, LLC

@ 3:30pm in Chambers Hall, Lower Level

Roger Martinez, Senior Product Owner for Wi-Tronix, LLC, will be discussing Vision Systems and Automation in Rail. What are the requirements for end-to-end automation? How do Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning change the game for a proactive vs. reactionary approach to safety in the rail industry today?

Roger is a Senior Product Owner of Visual Analytics for Wi-Tronix, LLC, where he works with business stakeholders and development teams to deliver value to the market in end-to-end video and data intelligence solutions for rail.

During his time as a Systems Engineer for Wi-Tronix, Roger specialized in projects related to remote fuel monitoring, navigation and mobile phone detection systems for the rail industry. Responsible for new product functional and field validation, as well as overall systems integration, Roger was accountable for the ultimate functionality, development and management of the products we innovate.

Prior to joining Wi-Tronix, Roger founded a stock options trading firm where he developed proprietary software that identified arbitrage opportunities. He also worked as an Account Manager for Echo Global Logistics, where he sourced and managed over 60 new accounts across the country.

Roger enjoys working with customers, product management, sales and marketing, engineering, and executive teams to identify and deliver business value by leveraging cutting-edge IOT sensor and machine learning technologies.

Named in a patent for Video Content Analysis System and Method for Transportation System, Roger also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Biology (Loyola University Chicago) as well as Electrical Engineering (Illinois Institute of Technology)

Originally from Houston, TX, Roger currently resides in La Grange, IL with his wife and four children. When he’s not driving kids to and from sports practice, he enjoys functional fitness, reading about artificial intelligence and technology, and listening to bluegrass.
