The Classics department will be showing Chiraq, Spike Lee's adaptation of Aristophanes' Lysistrata. This adaptation, set in Chicago, is one of the most interesting adaptations of ancient drama to date and a very rich, if somewhat controversial, piece of classical reception. I hope you will come. There will be food!
