Description:

Mark Lipovetsy discusses “Dmitri Prigov’s ‘Appeals to Citizens’ and the Meaning of New Sincerity.”  Professor and Director of Russian Graduate Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder, Lipovetsky is an expert on Russian postmodernist literature and culture.  He is working on a critical biography of the Russian poet Dmitry Prigov, and is editor of Prigov's collected works. Lipovetsky has authored more than 100 articles published in the US, Russia, and Europe and eight books, and is co-editor of nine volumes on Russian literature and culture.
