Pulcinella — Hungry, in Love, Afraid and near Death

Commedia Comes to Northwestern!

Northwestern University Press Author and Commedia dell’Arte expert Antonio Fava, along with international theatre artist Annina Gieré, will be arriving from Italy to present their new show Speechless Pulcinella on campus. Commedia dell’Arte is the famous improvisational comedy theatre born in Renaissance Italy that was one of the inspirations for Chicago’s Improvisational theatre. This comic show features music and masks created by Fava himself. This a rare opportunity to see one of Italy’s leading experts perform this famous traditional art form.

This program was supported in part by the Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities, the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago and the Northwestern University Department of Theatre.

Free admission! No tickets are required, but seating is first-come, first-served. Doors will open at 4:45pm.
