The Avant-Garde Africa cluster session is the first of the Wednesday lunch seminars that will introduce the current research clusters and allow them to plan for the coming year. During the first half of the lunch seminars, which are for everyone in PAS, a cluster’s leaders will talk in general about what they envision for the year and beyond. Then, those who are already affiliated with or wish to join the cluster will stay for the second half to make concrete plans about whom to invite in, what events, reading groups, talks, etc. to schedule, how to spend the cluster’s resources, and so forth. We particularly encourage graduate students to get involved.
