The Boren awards seek to help applicants advance their proficiency in selected strategic languages through study abroad (undergrads) and language study & research (graduate students). This award is particularly appropriate for individeuals who seek a career in or around government service. Come hear Boren Program Director Jeff Cary introduce each program and outline the profile of strong candidates. Mr. Cary will also answer your questions about the program.  

The Boren Scholarship (undergrads) has an internal deadline of Jan. 22, 2020 at 12:00 noon CST.  Contact Stephen Hill in the Office of Fellowships for more information about the internal process.  

The Boren Fellowship (grad students) deadline is Jan. 29, 2020 at 5:00 EST.  Boren Fellowship applicants are encouraged to contact Stephen Hill for application guidance.
