Lunch with Prof. Lori Beaman, GPRL Speaker Series and the Department of Economics Feed Your Mind Lunch Series

The Global Poverty Research Lab Speaker Series and the Department of Economics Feed Your Mind Lunch Series have partnered up to bring you a presentation by Professor Lori Beaman (Economics).

She will present on her latest research for 30 minutes and then open the floor to a discussion related to economics, research, or any related topic of students' choice.

Speaker Bio: 

Lori Beaman, Associate Professor of Economics and Global Poverty Research Lab Affiliate.  She is a development economist whose research interests are centered on three themes: the role of social networks in the labor market, agricultural technology adoption and women's mobility.

About the Series:

The GPRL Speaker Series is an opportunity for undergraduate students to learn about GPRL affiliated faculty’s ongoing research, as well as how their academic and professional experiences got them to this point.  The Department of Economics Feed Your Mind Lunch Series brings professors and students together outside the classroom in an informal, small group environment in order to promote discussion about how students can pursue economics, research and other goals.

About the Lab:

The Global Poverty Research Lab, established in 2017, is a collaborative research center that uses empirical evidence to understand drivers, consequences and solutions to poverty issues around the world. The Lab actively engages with undergraduate students to help them pursue development activities both on campus and abroad. Learn more by watching our video.
